Finding My Way Back to the Gym

Friday, June 28th, 2013 : Colorado Springs MapI work at least 50 hours each week. Being stressed is just a normal part of life for me. Yesterday, my car broke down, but I was fortunate enough to find a reliable shop ( that was recommended by my friend. Thankfully, that’s one less thing to worry about this week. Still, I really want to find a way to just relax and let go of all the tension I feel while I’m at the office. That’s why I’ve decided to start going back to the gym regularly.

Exercise is a vital part of being a healthy person. Physical health is directly related to mental health, and overall well-being. It’s really difficult to motivate myself to get in the car and go to the gym every night. Sometimes I just want to soak in the bathtub or read a good book. These things temporarily relax me, but then it’s back to reality.

When I go to the gym, not only do I feel a sense of release while I’m engaged in various activities, but it lasts for a long time. I feel good physically, like I’m able to purge out all of my stress and tension. I feel good mentally, like I’m at peace with whatever was bothering me earlier in the day. It’s a win-win situation.

Seeing as how I understand the benefits of exercise, I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get started. I know I’m not alone, and that finding a gym routine is difficult for many people. Sometimes taking that first step is the most difficult part of the entire process. I’ve looked at different websites that have exercise support groups, and I think that might be a good option for me. This way, I’ll have people holding me accountable for my actions, and I’ll feel a sense of pride when I’m able to report back about my success.

A Business Trip Doubled As a Second Honeymoon

Tuesday, June 25th, 2013

When my husband had to go to Bogota for business, I was upset because he would be gone for two weeks. The longest we had ever spent apart from each other was a few nights, so it was something neither one of us were looking forward to. When he told his boss how unhappy I was, he suggested that he take me along. Knowing that his long work trip was going to double as a second honeymoon got both of us excited. I did a search for luxury apartments bogota, because I knew that it would be better if we did not live out of a hotel room for the entire time.

I had originally started looking at cheap apartments, but it did not take me long to see that we would be able to get a luxury apartment for a lower price than what we could get a hotel room every night for two weeks.

Giving Back to the Community

When a local cancer clinic asked if our company would consider being one of many sponsors for a charity event they were holding, we jumped at the chance. We are always looking for ways to integrate ourselves into the community, because we would not be where we are without their patronage. Once we had committed ourselves, the first thing I did was look up promotional products australia on the Internet. I wanted to find something that we could give to everyone running in the race that the cancer clinic was having to raise funds for research as well as for local families who needed financial help because of a cancer diagnosis.
